چکیده

Context. The Hubble Space Telescope (HST) archives constitute a rich dataset of high-resolution images to mine for strong gravitational lenses. While many HST programmes specifically target lenses, they can also be present by coincidence in other observations. Aims. Our aim is identify non-targeted without any prior selection on the lens properties, almost two decades from ESA archive (eHST). Methods. We used crowdsourcing Asteroid Hunter (HAH) citizen science project along with asteroid trails, publicly available large field-of-view images. visually inspected 2354 objects tagged scientists as lenses clean sample and genuine Results. report detection 252 candidates, which were not primary targets A total 198 them are new, previously reported studies, consisting 45 grades, 74 B grades 79 C grades. majority galaxy-galaxy configurations. newly detected are, average, 1.3 magnitudes fainter than previous searches. This imaging ideal follow up spectroscopy modelling scientific analyses. Conclusions. paper presents unbiased search that enabled us find wide variety configurations, including exotic demonstrate power identifying benefits exploring archival datasets. study shows potential using combination artificial intelligence validation future large-scale surveys such ESA’s Euclid mission or James Webb (JWST)

Word Hunter

For this project we propose and implement a reading tool on Andriod platform that can be used to identify keywords on paper-based media. We breakdown the image processing after receiving an image of the media into three steps. In the first step, we pre-process the image using binarization, deskew and de-noising. The second step involves using OCR (in particular, Tesseract OCR engine) to recogni...

John Hunter

John Hunter, by JESSIE DOBSON, Edinburgh and London, E. & S. Livingstone, 1969, pp. xvii, 361, illus., 50s. This book demonstrates that rare achievement, a historical work which blends narrative skill with meticulous factual accuracy. John Hunter's life lends itself singularly happily to biography, but its attractive surface has led biographers of the past to become entangled all too frequently...

Determination of asteroid masses

The masses of the three largest asteroids: (1) Ceres, (2) Pallas and (4) Vesta were determined from gravitational perturbations exerted on respectively 25, 2, and 26 selected asteroids. These masses were calculated by means of the leastsquares method as weighted means of the values obtained separately from the perturbations on single asteroids. Special attention was paid to the selection of the...

Stability of Asteroid Motions

In this paper it is explained how most of asteroids can avoid very close approach to Jupiter, to the earth for earth orbit crossing asteroids, and to Neptune for Kuiper-belt asteroids by mechanisms which work also for Neptune-Pluto system. In fact the mutual distance of the planets cannot become very small as the critical argument librates around 180 0 because of 2:3 mean motion resonance and t...
